#it’s like… I don’t get it when people say that seven is #either ‘mentally a child’ or 'doesn’t know better about herself’ because then scenes like this make no sense #voyager spends so much time grappling with Seven’s role as perpetrator while she was a drone #which is a complex question of responsibility under compulsion and abuse#but if you say that she was and is too young to understand the question falls apart completely. #she canonically remembers what she did and hates it. she learns over time just awful it was to be a drone #and that there is this part of her that will always know how to use violence and kill #it’s genuinely one of the most compelling arcs of this show. #how do we stop being the instruments of violence that we were conditioned to become?
